Bay of Plenty Garden and Art Festival

Garden & Art Trail

The Owlery

Flowers steal the show in this large country style garden. Swathes of green lawns are complimented by well-established herbaceous borders, a 100+ year old oak tree and trellised vege garden. A croquet pavilion and rustic archway offset beds overflowing with roses, perennials and wildflowers. The more adventurous can discover a pathway down a steep bank to a shady retreat.

Bumblebees at The Owlery Live Talks with Geoff Brunsden

A keen gardener but equally as passionate about bumblebees, Geoff Brunsden will be giving daily talks in his own garden. He will discuss the critical role of bumblebees as super pollinators and their interaction with flowers. On site will be two see-into perspex working hives and one or two working home garden hives.

When: 10.30am & 2.30pm Daily
