Gary’s style is to realistically depict the marine life of New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific in dynamic poses, avoiding what he calls ‘frying pan’ shots where the subject is simply ‘side on’. He works with graphite pencils ranging from ‘B’ to ‘9B’, creating dark and dramatic pieces that work well in any space.
