Brian Ebbett reignited his passion for art later in life, initially experimenting with different styles and mediums before discovering a preference for oils. The appeal of oils lies in their buttery consistency, rich and dense colours, and their versatility. Brian loves the technique of painting ‘wet on wet,’ smoothly fusing the paints together. He varies his subject matter, with a particular enjoyment for painting NZ landscapes, flora, and fauna.
