The hillside art studio of Lianne Adams is situated in a rambling garden. From a bare paddock 5 years ago her garden has lovingly sprouted out of the ground. Now reaping the rewards of time and hard graft, it has its own resident birdlife being a food source to natives and the like . The garden also provides for bees and butterflies as well as for the family. With wonderful views this garden overflows with the joy from which it has been created.

What a fantastic line up of artists and their works! This group are the finalists for The Weekend Sun Emerging Artist Award and have enjoyed a workshop with mentoring artist, Rob McGregor! Rob is one of our current and original artists and is also a brilliant tutor.
Each of the emerging artists will display art at Bloom in the Bay, the festival hub, and the winner will be offered a spot as a festival artist in our 2026 festival ❤😍 We can't wait to see their latest creations this November!

Paula Knight's established seaside garden, is where 30 yr old natives combine with colourful tropicals, reflecting her love of NZ flora and tropical islands. Movement and light are captured by flax, Nikau and astelia leaves. The garden has evolved over the years, many of the plants have been grown from cuttings and seeds and is a true labour of love. Fed with seaweed from the beach across the road, organic and sustainable principles have always applied.
This garden has been featured in Your Home & Garden magazine and is home to Paula's art studio ❤
